Vazquez
Bio: I’m a multidisciplinary artist interested in using black-and-white film & digital to make images that involve concepts of obsolescence, self-identity, and existentialism. The relationship between machines and humans captivates me, so I explored that using a camera apparatus. Recently, I’ve been creating time-based videos and sculpture pieces. I was a cohort for the Summer Studios 2022 residency from Project Row Houses and one of three winners of the Beth Block Honorarium from the Houston Center of Photography. I’m a current resident/member at Box 13 Artspace. I obtained a BFA in Photography from the University of Houston.
